(she/her)

Renee received her undergraduate nursing degree from Spalding University and is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University, where she earned a Master’s of Science in Nurse-Midwifery, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Women’s Health, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.

After spending many years as a labor and delivery nurse, Renee continued to be drawn to normal birth and recognized the desire of many pregnant clients to limit intervention in low-risk birth. This practice starts with education and shared decision-making early in pregnancy, which is inherent in the midwifery model of care.

In addition to her midwifery practice, Renee is an Assistant Professor of nursing. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, two of which were born at home. She also enjoys reading, binge-watching, and eating out. She is on team Android, struggles to navigate a Mac, and does not enjoy cooking.
